Trade Decisions Through Data:

Welcome to Bolster

In 2023 we began calculating our own emissions. It's not just about talking the talk; we're walking it too. We're looking at how we can cut back on our own impact and keep growing sustainably as we expand. It's a way for us to practice what we preach and keep getting better at it.

Our core focus lies in revolutionising operational efficiency in global container shipping through data-driven transparency, and we’re now extending our technology to help our customers get better at emissions tracking too.

While many embrace data-driven strategies for sustainability, the lack of granular shipment-level data hampers accurate assessments. At Bolster, we've confronted this challenge head-on. Our sea freight intelligence platform is purpose-built to meticulously collect, process, and extract insights at the container level, setting us apart in accuracy and depth.

Our immediate emphasis lies in emissions tracking for sea freight. Bolster employs a unique in-market data methodology, allowing the of linking sea freight operations to emissions calculations and frameworks, whilst also enabling benchmarking against others.

Sustainability extends beyond emissions. As we forge ahead, we aim to integrate our platform with data to empower decision-making that not only champions sustainable practices but also makes an impact on critical issues. Issues like seafarer welfare and supplier vetting often reveal harsh realities, including human trafficking, exploitative labour practices, and unsafe working conditions, which deeply resonate with us.

By leveraging our technology, we're dedicated to shedding light on these hidden truths. Our commitment extends beyond business; it's about driving real change. Together, we can make informed decisions that not only advance business efficiency but also contribute to a more ethical, humane, and sustainable global trade landscape.
